MMIP COMMUNITY GATHERING
Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 1 PM – 3 PM Mountain Time
Hosted by Zonta Club of Billings and Missing and Murdered Indigenous People - MMIP and The Montana Native Women's Coalition
We, as a community of Natives and Native advocates, are continuing to raise awareness on this important issue, so that we can STOP the murder and disappearance of our Native brothers and sisters.Building on the success of past MMIP events, such as the 2019 MMIW March and Line the Rims in Red, the Zonta Club of Billings has partnered with many community leaders and organizations to bring two MMIP events to Billings, MT in October 2020. These events include the MMIP Community Gathering - a virtual continuation of last year's MMIP March. This virtual event will include drumming, singing, expert speakers & survivors from across the country, dancing, and an artist's introduction for the REDress Exhibit held at Sky Point in downtown Billings, MT October 4 - 18, 2020.
